While Gov. Hogan announced yesterday (May 13) that Maryland would be lifting the stay-at-home order on Friday, May 15 at 5PM, Baltimore city has opted to remain under their stay-at-home order until further notice.

“I don’t feel comfortable sending residents including young children and older adults back out into the public at this time,” Mayor Young announced during his press conference. “Today I’m announcing that Baltimore city will keep this local stay at home order in effect.”

Mayor Young said that the city's re-opening does not have a date and would be determined by data and science. He also said that it is a matter than Baltimore does not have an efficient amount of tests and without a higher capacity "it will be irresponsible to begin the openly process."
