Overview: The idea of Hi-Teck was born in 2002 when singer-songwriter Mark Ortega and Danny MacArthur, a composer, producer, and rock singer, met through a mutual friend in Long Beach, CA. The two shared similar musical interests and it seemed to be a natural fit for them to collaborate and form a group. Danny agreed to be vocal director, co-writer, and co-producer for the group while Mark took on the groups overall concept, promotion, and management. Mark and Danny represent over 40 years of experience in performing, song writing, and producing. Appearing at all major gay events including multiple performances at L.A., San Francisco, Long Beach and San Diego Prides, members of Hi-Teck were honored to be the last local band to perform before The Motels, Berlin, and Taylor Dayne entertained at Long Beach Pride 2003. Hi-Teck is currently writing, rehearsing and fine tuning their show and are lining up performances through 2008.
