Overview: If you could blend the relentless drive of the 50’s western swing bands with the melodic overtones and throbbing rhythms of the 70’s southern rock, then combine them with all the angst of the 90’s grunge bands you’d have something that sounds a lot like Twisted Pistols. Built on the strength of the lyric style and growling vocals of front man Zach Hendricks, along with his long time friend, lead guitarist Jon Willis the band was formed in 2006. Armed with a full set of original songs and some cover tunes of their most influential bands and local heroes, the band began playing live in the Texoma area. Along the way Twisted Pistols suffered some growing pains, not the least of which were the loss of two drummers, four bass players and eventually a name change. Formerly known as “Those Guys”, the band settled on J. Town Walsh as their bass player, a long time supporter and family friend.
