The Strolling Scones

Overview: Frozen in 1969, defrosted in 2004, and caught somewhere between Sleeper and Austin Powers, comes the retro 60's rock band The Strolling Scones. This band has it all - strong vocal harmony, flashy guitar work, memorable, melodic songs, and a great stage show. The live show has been described as "Jefferson Airplane meets Spinal Tap". Reviewers describe the band's music as "fresh and nostalgic at the same time" and "modern and crisp - and the overall sound is nostalgic, yet oddly current". When it's time to play, The Strolling Scones show that they can really heat it up. The crack rhythm section lays down a backbone for guitar ace Rick Stockton (see Vintage Guitar Magazine - April 2007) who evokes many of the guitar greats of the 1960's. The band's three lead vocalists take turns backing each other up with creative and intricate harmonies. If you want to relive the experience you probably can't remember, or want to see what your parents warned you about, check out The Strolling Scones!
