Overview: Sole Pursuit was founded in the wake of Hurricane Katrina by Brandon Peterson (vocals) and Chris Young (lead guitar) when the two were reintroduced over Myspace. A friend of Peterson's, Sandy Nikolaus (bass) soon joined the band and Nikolaus introduced Ross Blanchard (drums) as a long time friend and musical acquaintance. After one jam session, a consensus was easily reached and Blanchard was asked to join the band as well. Finally, after several guitarists auditioned for the band to no avail, Nikolaus brought in friend and co-worker Brandon "Frodo" Deriso (guitar) as a potential candidate. The rest of the band quickly came to appreciate Deriso's exceptional talent and Sole Pursuit's lineup was complete. The entire band has been writing and performing music together since November 2007.
