California reggae rock trio Starving Millionaires joined in 2005, sharing free time and chemical imbalance.
That July, the group released a self produced 5-track EP, 'First Ditch Effort", which attracted the attention of scenester union Long Beach Records, who promoted the initial recording.
With fresh representation, the band hustled into the studio during the summer of 2006 and compiled its first full length, 13-track LP, "Vegas Drive."
During that period, the band broke from recording and appeared at Vans' Warped Tour in Sacramento. Following the performance, Your Music Magazine called the Millionaires catchy and original, a fish out of water next to Emo bands popular at the time.
The band is currently touring throughout the western United States in support of VD, and has opened for veteran acts Me First and the Gimme Gimmes and Eek-a-mouse.
