Talented Charissa Mrowka, age 15, as of April 2011. In pursuit of fulfilling her dream, she studies guitar and percussion, and is heavily active in school band, Jazz Band, choir, drama, song writing and airs daily on multiple radio stations in 5 states and still manages to stay on the High Honor Roll at school.
She is currently working with of Michael Yerke, talent buyer of LIVE NATION and President of "House of Blues," but looking for management/label to take her to the next level! Charissa has performed at venues such as the House of Blues, Genesee and Arcada Theatres, the world famous "Tootsie's Orchid Lounge," "The Nashville Palace," "Legends Corner," "Nashville Spotlight T.V. Show," in Music City, Nashville, and even got to feel how awesome it is to sing on the Grand Ole Opry Stage during a tour in 2009 & 2010, just to name a few.
Charissa has won her fair share of major contests over the year such as, Country Thunder USA, 2 time winner of Colgate Showdown, In 2007 Charissa entered the largest, nationwide country music talent search contest the "COLGATE COUNTRY SHOWDOWN" and was announced the WISCONSIN STATE CHAMPION at the Wisconsin State Fair setting several new records as the youngest contestant to win State Champion; and first time ever, Wisconsin State, Unanimous Judges vote, and again in 2010 first runner up for state level, won Rock the Ark and Star Spangled Battle of the Bands 2010, to name a few!
Charissa's music has also had its fair share of radio air time. She was selected by Lisa Dent and Ramblin Ray of US99.5 FM Radio to have her debut and AIR LIVE as the featured celebrity artist on their special morning show, The Diner Tour, also at NBRN.FM in Nashville, TN where she debuted live in 2010, and all the songs on her 2010 CD is currently airing on 6 stations in 6 states including TN, KS, CO, NE, WI, IL and on Earbits Internet radio!
Besides performing with her country band, Charissa has enjoyed performing her "Hannah Montana Tribute Show" , which has earned her major recognition over the past 3 years, including a 2 year long monthly performance contract with Keylime Cove Water Resort. 2011 Charissa plans to do a special tribute show honoring all the teen sensations of today, as well as her country music tour season. Charissa's passion is to perform and she plans on making her music a lifelong career!
