Hokey Sloan was born and raised in Athens, Ga. and his real name is Legare Hoge, Jr. Hokey has been active in the counrty music business for a long time. In December of 1979, he and his wife, Joy, were fortunate to meet Waylon & Jessi, became friends, and in 1993 recorded a CD with Waylon's band produced by Jerry Bridges at Jerry's studio in Nashville. The CD contained 9 of Hokey's songs, and 3 by other writers.The title song was "Look at Me". Hokey & Joy currently own "The Flying Machine" dining & entertainment , which has proved to be a great place for up and coming performers to get their feet wet in the business. (see Artist Site) Hokey is currently recording a new CD to be entitled "Some Can Tell 'em". The songs submitted to "NEW" will be on this CD.
