Overview: By the way … my name is Kenny Ray and I was raised up on country music…My daddy always told me there’s only one kind of music in the world and that’s hillbilly country music. My Daddy got me my first guitar when I was 13. I didn’t know how to play that guitar but I learned watching the Porter Wagner and Dolly Parton show and,Buck Owens, Don Rick and Roy Clark on Hee Haw. I played my guitar and didn’t stop til learned how to play it. I met Conway Twitty around 1972 and he told me you can’t make it singing someone else’s song. From that day on, I started writing my own songs and playing it for anyone who would listen. If it wasn’t for the people I know and love and who love me, I wouldn’t be where I am right now.
