Overview: Born to civil engineers from New York City and raised in the North Shore of Oahu, David D'Alessio traded in his ukelele for a guitar and started writing songs at age 16. D'Alessio's first solo record, "Songs to Undress Your Ego" was conceived as a "chick record." The result is a landscape of love lost, longed for, taken for granted, regretted, discarded and reborn. Critics have taken note calling D'Alessio the "Sonoran Desert's version of Jack Johnson". D'Alessio recently opened for Rocco Deluca and Lifehouse on 92.9's 4th of July celebration. He has also been featured on Channel 12 NBC's Good Morning AZ in Phoenix, KNXP; 106.7 KWSS, ASU's the Blaze, and Tucson's 91.3 KXCI. He is currently playing shows to support the record in the Southwest with plans to take the "Ego" tour abroad. He has also had music featured in various films.
