Overview: Maria Rose was chosen from entertainers nationwide to travel for the USO, taking a 'touch of home' to our Armed Forces on 11 different overseas tours. She is known for her outgoing personality and stage presence.
Maria and husband/guitarist Danny Elswick can be seen frequently on the nationwide "Midwest Country" TV show on RFD-TV.
She scored high on country music charts with "Can We Still Be Friends", written by Bill Anderson. Bill wrote a liner note for Maria on her new "Original" CD, which features, "We Need to Be the RE-United States", (a powerful song she wrote two weeks after Sept. 11th), "Laissez Les Bon Temps Roulez", (a Cajun-country song which displays her love of New Orleans), and "This Kind of Certainty", (a duet by Maria and Danny). All music, vocals and harmonies were recorded in Maria and Danny's own studio, Mada Recording in Parkville, MD.
Maria is a recipient of the prestigious Presidential "Point of Light" Award.
