Overview: I'm currently in the studio building a 13 song (all original)album, with a mind blowing cast of well seasoned muscians-producers & engineers. Ambrosia's very own Joe Puerta is producing/arranging playing bass/acoustics & harmonies. Pure Prairie Legues Pat Bolen on pedal-lap steel-dobro & harmonies. Brooks & Dunn's old touring mate Tommy Greywolf on fiddles-mandolin & 5 string Zeta. As this impressive group grows, we have the "Ivory Doctor" Dave Adler on keys-piano-hammond B3. And lets not forget the best damn time keeper I know, Brian Dale keeping the beats. Last but not least chief engineer Kevin Arndt along with Jeffro-Lyle & Tim to round off the engineering team. And we can't forget the "Old Dog" Harry Brotman putting on the polish & getting it all radio ready for the listeners. On a personal : I thank my wife Tracy for being my foundation of support and always believing in me through it all. and last but certainly not least I thank God for making it all happen.

  BIOGRAPHY
Mark Phillips a.k.a. Country Mark,
Born in Brew city April 28th 1968.

I was the kind of kid who loved to make ya smile & some
how make ya feel good. And if I could find a way to help ya forget yer concearns for atleast a moment...then I guess that I was just spreadin' sumthin' good.
At 8 I got my first guitar for Christmas, but an older brother smashed that little flat top into a tree while playin' rock star.

Yeah my dreams of becomin' a guitar god were over, so I
found another way , to that crazy little music bug that bit me
so hard.
Ya see... While the radio would play the songs, I'd sing along & sometimes change up the lyrics, and make them a little more me.
Quite often folks would just loose it in laughter, and poof that was it, thier worries were gone.
By 15 I wrote my first song, & soon after discovered the gift of lyrical word play & paintin' pictures with words.
In my mid 20's two of my lyrical poems were published in a Anthology book, which featured unsigned poets & writers

Yes it's true...at 28 I turned down an Artist's Develpoment deal for what I believed was love..What the hell was I thinkin' ?

Movin' on... I remember one night at a bar, doin' some
karaoke covers, I sang The Dance by Garth, when this lady
walked up to me with fresh tears still in her eyes, and thanked me for singin' her favorite song of all time.
Right then & there I capured my purpose & meaning in life,
as my true calling became crysyal clear...Just keep on spreadin' sumthin' good.

Throughout my 30's and 40 sumthin' now, I've written some decent songs, that touch on the topics of everyday life, and the folks who in some way have inspired them.

Movin' forward...I see great things in front of me...Just as long as I keep it real & keep on spreadin' sumthin' good.
Because ultimately...that's what it's really all about anyway.
