dontworryaboutit

Overview: dontworryaboutit is a 5 piece band formed in December of 2008 in Glenshaw, PA. We began as just a little jam group including drummer Clint Bleil, guitarist Jon Rankin, and bassist Travis Kress. The three decided one day that they would like to form an actual band and began the search for a singer and rhythm guitarist. One day Jon's brother Alex brought his close friend Mike Portman over to hang with the guys and play some Rock Band. Everyone was very impressed by Mike's performance singing Bon Jovi's popular song "Livin' on a Prayer", and Jon, Clint, and Travis decided to make him their new singer. Alex had never touched a guitar in his life before, but he decided he'd like to give rhythm guitar a shot and is now the currently the 5th member of dontworryaboutit.

  BIOGRAPHY
We have grown to become one of the more popular local acts in the Glenshaw area. We have played numerous shows including several at Mr. Small's Theatre in Milvalle, PA and were one of the top bands in votes for the Burgettstown, PA venue in the 2010 Ernie Ball Warped Tour Battle of the Bands. Currently, we are finishing up our first demo EP that will contain our first 8 songs and are still writing more all the time.
If you were to ask any of us what our genre is, no one could give you a straight answer. We have very diverse musical interests and really like to combine all those interests into what we write, hopefully creating a unique yet recognizable sound. We generally like to stick to a post-hardcore/pop punk sound, but no song is the same and there really is something for everyone.
