Overview: Singer/songwriter Janet Hattabaugh, at age 22, may have just moved to the big city of Nashville, TN, but she grew up in the little country town of Pekin, IN with an extended family of musicians. At age 15, with her guitar in hand and her background of country/folk/bluegrass, she began performing around Kentuckiana with her dad as her guitarist. Along with Janet’s vocal talent, at age 17, she discovered an interest in writing her own songs and music, and began songwriting with her first co-writer, her mom.
Janet, now in 2010, has just made the move to Nashville, TN to pursue her music career, work on her first cd with Emmy award winning producer Cliff Downs, and finish up her first music video for “Everyday Magic” with graphic designer/video director Glenn Sweitzer of Fresh Designs. Also, in the last year, two of Janet's songs have been featured in the motion picture "Red Dirt Rising," and she has been performing at the "RDR" movie premieres.
