Grant Peeples

Overview: Grant has a unique style he dubs "leftneck." His original songs include environmental, socio-political themes, but poignant love songs and humor, too. Nashville songwriting legend Bobby Braddock dubbed him, "like John Prine, but with a Southern bent." His tunes range from country swing to troubadour ballads, Latin rhythms to bluegrass stomp. Grant is currently on tour in support of his newest release, Okra & Ecclesiastes, produced by Gurf Morlix. Official release date was February 21,2011. Okra and Ecclesiastes has been in the top 40 on the Americana Music Association airplay chart since it was released in early February, reaching #20. It was ranked #2 on the FAR (Freeform American Roots) chart, having debuted at #5, and debuting at #7 on the Folk DJ chart, and #8 on the EuroAmericana chart for the month of February. Grant's travels have taken him up and down the east coast from Rhode Island to Miami. He has had opened for Robert Earl Keen, Fred Eaglesmith, and Gurf Morlix.
