Overview: Born and raised in Southern California, Melissa graduated from a private university in 2001 with a B.A. in Communications, with an emphasis in Electronic Media Production, and a Minor in Music. She began writing songs at the age of 14 when assigned her first poetry writing and noticed what was written was in song structure. Performing since the age of 4 and always attending private voice lessons, Melissa later went on to be classically and operatically trained. It was in her eclectic musical tastes and songwriting style that her originality shone through with the writing of each song.
