Starting in Cleveland, OH, 1000 Reasons have always been a group of punk rock kids, loving music from a tender age. Emotions are released within their music, living in world on stage where they connect with the audience with punk-rock songs about life and everyday mistakes which people can relate to. The high energy shows they put on with a careless stage attitude brings 1000 Reasons's music together. From the core, lead vocalist and guitarist Drew Semelsberger and drummer Neal Kumar have been playing together since 2008. The two childhood friends began by playing songs by mutual artists they enjoyed, such as Blink-182 and Operation Ivy, showing eachother songs each have previously been working on, one later to be "Perfect Circle" on their self-titled EP released in the summer of 2011, and by seeing how many pieces of pizza each could pound down in five minutes. After practicing everyday in the summer for around eight hours, the band began to play many shows in Cleveland as a duo. Next year in 2011, Drew got a call from Zach Zoloty, who has been intending to audition for 1000 Reasons as a bass player. Zach stopped by at a rehearsal and auditioned with "Paranoia", an original off of their self-titled EP. 1000 Reasons instantly recruited him to play bass. That completed their lineup.
The trio is currently writing and recording new songs for their next EP being released in the winter of 2011.
