Tony Young

Overview: A native Floridian, this wild-eyed country boy was raised up in the rollin' red clay hills of Tallahassee. For the past 20 years, Young has played the club and festival circuit throughout the Southeast, playing with the likes of B.B. King, Buddy Guy, Styx, 38 Special, Survivor, Molly Hatchet, Edgar Winter, Clarence Carter, Percy Sledge, George Clinton, Trace Adkins, John Michael Montgomery, Diamond Rio, Jamey Johnson and Tracy Lawrence. A graduate of Florida State University, when Young is not performing, he serves as Florida's hunting expert for the state's fish and game department. Besides writing music, he also makes a living as an outdoor writer and even had his own hunting and fishing TV show. One of Young's claims to fame is having caught 49 largemouth bass over 8 pounds, and he's also known for having wrestled a gator or two. He lives with his wife, daughter and bloodhound in Tallahassee and enjoys hunting, fishing/boating and attending sporting events.
