Since the release, he has received the most votes for the month of May 2012 in the Texaco Country Showdown’s Songwriting Contest for his memorably funny song, “Chunky Dunkin’”. He's been writing with hit songwriters such as Steve Dean ("Watching You" & "Southern Star") and been givne the opportunity to rub shoulders with some of the great writers and people in Nashville.

Paul Alvin has performed on Channel 7’s Good Morning Arkansas and was a Local Finalist in 4 of the Country Showdown’s Local radio competitions in 2012. Paul Alvin has been a regular guest artist in NW Arkansas at the Ozark Country Music Opry in Springdale and has also performed the National Anthem for numerous sporting events throughout Arkansas and Texas.
