Mutha Versacci “The Nu Chic”, is an international dance music recording artist, producer and songwriter. A native of Florida born in the beautiful city of Miami Beach, this former model turned singer also plays several instruments.

Discovering the underground world of “Balls” or “Ball Culture”, The Nu Chic reigned over the house of Versace (Miami Chapter) dominating the categories of women’s face and runway. Ball culture has been a school yard for female artists like; Jody Whatley, Madonna, Grace Jones, Lady Gaga and Beyoncè. None however, have ranked and reigned in “drag-house/ball culture” in the vein of The Nu Chic. When asked about her ball culture experience, she stated, “No better stage in which to learn how to survive and compete with an attitude of excellence , than at a gay ball. They also play the best house and dance music ever!”

Her 1st solo project self titled EP, The Nu Chic released January (2011), received a 5-star review by 3’X Grammy award-winning marketing specialist and music reviewer, Janet Hansen. This chic chick has spent the last 3 years building her résumé and to date, the powerhouse songstress is #6 in dance music on the Reverbnation charts. The Nu Chic is also featured along with artists like Lady Gaga, Avicii, Chris Brown, Madonna, Adele, David Guetta and The Black Eyed Peas on the official mix-tape, I Love The Runway for both New York’s Fashion Week and Miami’s Funksion Fashion Week Spring 2012. Additionally, Mama V’s headlined ABC Television’s internationally syndicated music reality TV show, Miami Music Television (MMTV) and is now working on her 1st full length album, Mutha’s Day Evolution scheduled to release in May on Mother’s Day.

The Nu Chic’s sound is an extraordinarily eclectic fusion of funk, pop, house, dance, electronic, disco, rock and R&B. Her lyrics are infectious, witty and braggadocios. Her strong vocals trill from soft and sensual to masculine bravado embellished by a soulful roar.
