Overview: Dre Bennett was born in Marietta, Georgia into a family full of musicians, so talent runs through his veins. Growing up, Dre was always experimenting with music, but he never took the craft serious. Being in a musical family, he couldn't stay away from his destiny. In the 1970's, Dre's family were apart of the chart topping group known as "The Controllers. His Uncle was a drummer for the band and Dre quickly took an interest in the drums. He was a natural and played for his church during his years in school. While in High School, Dre began playing the keyboard and taught himself how to play. This triggered another natural talent, writing. Dre began writing songs to the melodies he created. At the tender age of 16, Dre was determined to get into the studio and record the song that would start his music career. The song entitled "I don't Wanna Hear" soon became a local hit, gaining Dre notoriety at his school and in the community.
