Overview: COLO, which is an acronym for the Crown of Life Orchestra, is a band formed from members of our church. We started by solely playing the music of the Trans Siberian Orchestra for our community Christmas event about 5 years ago. Our music remains focused on the Holiday Season.
We started with three TSO songs, and added several songs each year. While most of the music we play is from TSO, along the way we added Christmas songs from other bands, including Joan Jett and the Blackhearts.
More recently we started writing our own songs, and unique adaptations of other classical Christmas songs. These include Still Still Still, Silent Night, What Child Is This, and the Halleluiah Chorus.
COLO consists of 13 members, including lead guitar, acoustic guitars, bass, drums, keyboards, violin, children vocalists, and handbells. Our ages range from grade school to over 50. Our music ranges from high powered to softer melodic.
