Overview: Born in the small town of Ellendale, North Dakota; The Unrest came from humble beginnings. Playing shows in basements, bedrooms, and anywhere they could fit their stuff.
Between distances of 90 miles or more, the band began to write music, beats, and guitar riffs straight from their cold, metal hearts. The end result was 'Bloodhammer.' It was undeniable, wonderfully fundamental and intense. Ty's riffs became more passionate, heavy, and pummeling. Michael's bass lines were thunderous and challenged the skill of the most talented talented players around and John's banshee shrieks and grenade growls finally completed the mix for the sound to make blood run cold. It was those humble beginnings that ended up paying the most dividends. That is where The Unrest makes its home.
It's said best from their own lyrics. The final line of 'Bloodhammer' sums it up. If we listen to The Unrest..."God save us."
