Overview: La Preferencia was created in 1991 by lead vocalist Mariano Bocanegra. The band plays original songs as well as cover songs. The band performs at area events, social events & night clubs. The band has shared the stage with several top bands in the tejano norteno genre in their history of existence, i.e. Intocable, City Boyz, Jaime y Los Chamacos, Elida Reyna, Mazz, just to name a few. The band is currently in production of their 2nd CD entitled "Mas Fuerte Que Nunca" under the BocaMar Record and MP Recording labels. The band will feature several original songs and other well known songs in tejano realm.
