Overview: GRUPO XPRESSION is a tejano band that started its roots in Mathis, TX. The band was formed in 2003 and is composed mostly of family members. The band leader, Joe Lara, has played with other well-known artists such as Beto Ramon, Joe Reveles, & Chacha Jimenez, etc. He is now playing with his brothers Jerry and Jesse Lara. All members are from Mathis. One of the greatest song writers for tejano music, Humberto "Beto" Ramon, contributed in the songwriting for this album. One of his songs, OTRA OCUPA TU LUGAR, was nominated for Song of the Year in the Brush Country Music Awards. Grupo Xpression was nominated for Tejano Album of the Year at the 2007 Grammys.
