Overview: Tonya Watts is a one-woman Southern Rebellion, fighting her way through her own personal civil war. She grew up listening to country music outlaws like Cash, David Allan Coe, Bocephus and Loretta Lynn. She made a deep connection with music after playing Dolly Parton in "Get to the Heart" (a film of the Barbara Mandrell story). Once she sang Dolly's lyrics, Tonya realized she wanted to write and perform her own songs.
Tonya's rebel soul has proved tough to tame: her direct and plain-spoken lyrics cut through to uncover universal truths that America doesn't hear on the radio anymore. Those powerful words are paired with cowboy-rocking music that just might blow your socks off
