Overview: Hailing from North Texas, The Farstar is an Indie Rock band openly influenced by both noise and pop.
The group currently has two releases: 2008’s “Back to Life E.P.” and 2003’s “Broken Down and Wandering”. By the end of 2009, the band will release another E.P. titled “Strange Kids” while finishing up work on their long-awaited second full-length album “God Be with You, Heaven Knows the Devil Is” due out in 2010.
The band has been receiving rave reviews here and abroad. The Farstar's songs are featured on various compilations, independent films and commercials. The band has additionally achieved airplay on many radio stations and podcasts from Ireland to Austin.
Refusing to only play in a garage, or just put songs up on Myspace or Youtube, the band takes winning over audiences seriously. The Farstar hopes to enthuse both your ears and eyes soon.

The FARSTAR's current line up is as follows: Shannon Barrett (vocals, keyboard, guitar), Michael Maney (bass, keyboard, guitar, drums, percussion), Chris Hathcock (guitar), Zech Lumpkin (guitar, vocals) and Lance Lindsey (drums, percussion).
