Overview: Atlanta has become the rap and hip hop mecca of the South, earning its reputation as the "Hip Hop Capitol of The World" while generating some of the most well-known and well-received rappers and hip hop artists to ever come from the chart-topping music genre. Since about 6 months ago ATL has been the stomping grounds for the growing genre of music called Reggeaton. The name Alexis Alicea Rivera, "Ventura", has been ringing bells in the Reggeaton scene all throughout Atlanta since his arrival from Puerto Rico. Ventura, born in San German, Puerto Rico a town in Mayaguez, was sent to Paterson, New Jersey at the age of 5 to get an education. After returning to Puerto Rico, Ventura was heavily involved in the Reggeaton scene but became discouraged when local artists and producers started stealing his lyrics and concepts.
