I can't believe I actually have to write this... but here it is! I'm seeing a lot of questions on Twitter about the legality of photographing your ballot!

I'm loving high voter turnout among the youngest voters, but some seem to be Instagramming their ballots before turning them in.

Here's the thing: in some states, its perfectly legal! In others, its VERY MUCH ILLEGAL! Thankfully, Gizmodo put together an awesome list so you can check and see if its legal in your state.

In Maryland, the state constitution does not clearly define whether or not its legal to photograph your ballot. So be cautious and just DON'T!
