This recipe is kid-tested, and mother-in-law approved! Its so stinkin easy you won't believe it... especially because it looks amazing! Looks like you spent hours in the kitchen, not 10 minutes.
Here's what ya need:
1 large can of Pillsbury Grands Flaky Layers biscuits (1 can for 4 people, 2 cans for more)
1 cup maple syrup
3 tablespoons butter
1/2 cup brown sugar (light or dark works fine)
1/2 cup chopped pecans
1 tsp cinnamon
Put syrup and butter in microwave for 30 seconds (I recommend doing it in a glass measuring cup for easy pouring); whisk together. Pour half the mixture into the bottom of a bunt pan. Put the rest to the side. Combine brown sugar, cinnamon, and pecans in a bowl; pour half the mixture into the bunt pan, on top of the syrup.
Arrange the biscuits in the syrup/sugar in the bottom of the pan. One can looks like it won't be enough, but it was! Make sure all pieces are touching each other, overlapping just a bit. If you're cooking for a crowd, you can do this with 2 cans. It will be much more dense and needs to cook about 5-7 minutes longer. Pour the rest of the syrup mixture on top. Top the remaining sugar/cinnamon/pecan mixture.
Bake for 20-25 minutes at 375.
* hint, I wish I had chopped my pecans more! I bought chopped pecans but I should have chopped them a little more finely myself.
