If you're working with a tight budget this Valentine's Day... fear not! You're not alone. I'm right there with you. Here are some ideas I've seen to make Valentine's Day special without breaking the bank:

Sneaky Car Wash: on your lunch break, swing by your spouse's office with their spare keys. Take their car to get washed/detailed, and bring it back. Leave a little note on the seat that it was washed with love

Wine/Beer Labels: you can print free beer or wine labels... Get creative with a cheap bottle of wine or his/her favorite six pack

Coffee: get up early and make a mad dash for your spouse's favorite coffee shop. Start off the day letting them know that you love them a latte! (see what I did there?)

Favorite Things: last year, my honey did this for me. He put together a gift of my "favorite things"... one of my favorite candles, one of my favorite nail polishes, etc. Little things that didn't add up to much (money wise) but meant a lot

Record a Video: instead of a card, record a video on your computer or smart phone, telling the person that you love them. Much more meaningful than a card... and its free!
