We're sad to report that Slim Whitman passed away yesterday at the age of 90 due to heart failure.
You might remember Slim's high-pitched, three-octave yodeling from TV commercials that ran in the 80s and 90s.
Of the commercials, Whitman said, "I almost didn't do them. I had seen those kinds of commercials and didn't like them. But it was one of the smartest things I ever did."
Whitman recorded more than 65 albums as a result of those commercials, so it's a good thing he did them!
His hits include "Have I Told You Lately That I Love You," ''Red River Valley," ''Danny Boy" and "I'll Take You Home Again, Kathleen."
