New tv show premieres this Wednesday night, Oct. 10th at 10 on ABC, called "Nashville" I saw the debut episode and felt like it might be the first time tv has ever given us a pretty authentic view of the music business. There is a little night-time soap opera feel, reminiscent of "Dallas", so I'm not saying you should believe everything you see but it is television afterall...

The premise of the show is a 40-something country star Rena (think Faith Hill) whose last album isn't selling and whose tour is coming up short on ticket sales. So, the new head of her label suggests/demands that she tour with the hot new much younger female country star who is cranking out the hits on the radio. This does not go over well with Rena who basically tells her label to "kiss her decision as it's walking out the door."
I think this is a hit show. Let me know what you think!
