Yesterday, I wrote about some of my favorite local, small businesses. I wanted to add more to the list!

First, I recommend one of my favorite family-owned "no muss no fuss" restaurants: New Freedom Restaurant and Coffee Shop in New Freedom PA, just a short 25 minute drive up 83 from where I live.

Owners Dimos & Vicky Papageorgiou run a friendly, efficient operation and you can't beat their broasted chicken!  If you're near the Ruxton area, stop by Jewels. If you have a" hard to shop for" female on your holiday list, they have beautiful women's fashions and accessories aplenty. Plus, the girls who run things there-- Kearny, Chris and friends-- know how to have a good time!
