After seeing the commercials for the new movie "Guilt Trip" I thought to myself, "I bet this is not a great film." But I took a friend on a foggy Monday night earlier this week to see a screening hoping that there would be just a few laughs that might make us feel better about a dreary start to the week....

Not much there to laugh about.

Seth Rogen is Andy, the grown up son of Joyce, played by Barbara Streisand. There is no chemistry between these two, however, Seth is so stiff in this role, I'm not sure it would have mattered who starred as mom. It's as if he's walking through the movie, hoping it will be over soon.  I was feeling the same thing so I get it! 

Not much to laugh about in this mother/son road trip adventure, even the more dramatic moments feel forced and inauthentic.  My suggestion is to save the gas and stay home, because there's got to be something better on tv.
