Country music legend Emmylou Harris is facing as much as six months in jail! L.A. prosecutors are charging her with a misdemeanor hit-and-run 

Last month, a police report was filed against Emmylou that said she crashed her car into theirs on the freeway, then fled the scene.

Emmylou's rep told TMZ that it was a "garden-variety accident that happens every day on the 405" and that Harris left only because she didn't realize she'd struck another car.
