Your latest "shoot em up" movie makes its way into theatres today: Snitch

The Rock plays a father who goes undercover as a DEA agent in a desperate attempt to reduce his son's prison sentence. His son, played by Ravi Gavron, was set up by a friend and is now facing 30 yeasr in prison for posession. Susan Sarandon plays the U.S. Attorney with whom The Rock must cut a deal to save his son.

The movie was slightly better than I thought it would be, but what was interesting to me was the fact that The Rock... for all his braun... was not really portrayed as a threatening presence. I felt like Dennis Quaid could have played the role.

Most all the action is in the last 15 minutes. There are no real surprises in this plot; it is, however, based on a true story.
