They came, they saw, they got destroyed.  The forces on Earth united to destroy the alien invaders in 1996's Independence Day.  But, are they coming back for more?

Producer Dean Devlin says he's working with director Roland Emmerich on a sequel to the blockbuster that pushed Will Smith's career into the stratosphere.  The two co-wrote the original. 

Devlin didn't give many details but he did say the two have been working together and are excited about the idea of another one.  There aren't a lot of plans in place but he did confirm that the team has begun the long process of talking to everyone that survived the first film.
