I was just thinking to myself, "Where has Trace Adkins been?  I haven't heard from him in quite a while."  Apparently he's been working with the Red Cross.  Trace will serve as the spokesperson for the 2012 American Red Cross Holiday Giving Campaign.

I think it makes perfect sense since the Red Cross helped him, and his family out when his house burned down.  Here's a statement from Trace:

"When my home was claimed by fire last year, the Red Cross was among the first on-site. They looked after my family when I couldn’t be there and offered to help in any way they could. We were fortunate because we only lost ‘things’ that could be replaced. That’s not the case for every victim of disaster and that’s when the Red Cross steps in. From personal experience, I am supporting the Red Cross and their work to unite families and aid in times of need,”

I couldn't think of a better spokesman.  Good for you Trace and I hope the campaign is a success.  I've always loved working with the Red Cross myself.  You can read more of the story HERE.
