America's favorite quirky girl, Zooey Deschanel, will be coming back to your TV next season. Fox has announced that its hit comedy, New Girl, will be coming back for a third season. Rightfully so. It is hands down the funniest show on television...at least that's my opinion.
The networks meet every year around this time and they give us a good hard look at who's staying, who's going and what's going to be new in the fall. Here's a little rundown of what we know right now about the renewals and cancelations. What do you think?
Renewed: 2 Broke Girls, 48 Hours, 60 Minutes, The Amazing Race, The Big Bang Theory, Blue Bloods, CSI, Elementary, The Good Wife, Hawaii Five-O (really?), How I Met Your Mother (the FINAL SEASON!), The Mentalist, Mike & Molly, NCIS, NCIS: LA, Person of Interest, Survivor, Two and a Half Men, Undercover Boss.
I suppose it would have been easier just to say they've renewed everything.
Canceled: Made in Jersey, Partners
Renewed: American Dad, American Idol, Bob's Burgers, Bones, Family Guy, The Following (Yes!!!), Glee, Hell's Kitchen, Hotel Hell, Kitchen Nightmares, The Mindy Project, New Girl, Raising Hope, The Simpsons, The X Factor.
Canceled: Ben & Kate, The Mob Doctor, Cops (it's about time)
NBC - We're still waiting for announcements on most of their shows so this list is a little light.
Renewed: Revolution (are they serious?), Chicago Fire, Grimm, Law & Order: SVU, Parenthood
Canceled: Animal Practice, Do No Harm, Ready For Love
ABC - We don't know much about their renewed shows but we do have a few cancellations
Canceled: Don't Trust the B in Apartment 23, 666 Park Avenue, Last Resort, Zero Hour
(ABC should probably just cancel everything that's over 1/2 hour long and start over)
Renewed: Arrow, Beauty and the Beast, Supernatural, The Vampire Diaries (they must have read my letters), America's Next Top Model, Hart of Dixie.
Canceled: 90210, Emily Owens, M.D.

You may have seen the "Worst Roommate Ever" video that a couple of our local Navy guys put together in Annapolis. If you haven't seen it yet, it's pretty hilarious. Take a look HERE.
But, did you know that the guy playing all the pranks is Dr. Kameen of Kameen Eye Associates' son? After watching the video, I have to admit that I'm happy it was Dr. Kameen performing my LASIK surgery and not his son.
Here's a few outtakes from that video that I think are just as hilarious as the final product. You're welcome.
There's something special about the vulnerability of Tony Stark. He's crass, narcissistic and a million other things, but still susceptible to all of the same things that may bring down you or I. That's what makes this character so believable. He isn't perfect, no matter how many times he tells you he is. Iron Man 3 digs deeper into the brain of Tony Stark and gives you a better look at what gets to him.
I think the story of Iron Man 3 might be a little thinner than the previous two, but it's just as, if not more, entertaining. The special effects are incredible. It's amazing how technology has advanced in just the few years between the first and third films. Where the film lacks in story, it makes up for it in action and explosions. I'd say Iron Man 3 is the most action packed of the bunch.
Robert Downey Jr. has created a character that will go down in history as one of the most iconic characters in Hollywood history. Another classic actor, Ben Kingsley, joins the cast as the Mandarin. Guy Pearce and Rebecca Hall round out another star studded cast. This is a very solid film and worthy of your money. Don't waste your money on going to see it in 3D, though. It's not worth it. And make sure you stay through the credits. As with all Marvel films, there's a little clip at the end for you.
It's Willie Nelson's birthday! Happy 80th birthday to one of my favorite country singers. To celebrate, I've decided to throw in a couple of my personal favorite Willie tunes. I know they're not new, but I think Willie deserves a little love this week.
I've also mixed in a few new tracks including one I can't stop listening to right now called "Girls Are Crazy" by Joanna Smith. Let me know what you think of that one. Here's what else made the show...
1) Willie Nelson - Always On My Mind
2) Joe Nichols - Sunny and 75
3) Rachele Lynae - Fishin For Something
4) Kenny Chesney - Lindy
5) Chris Cagle - Dance Baby Dance
6) Joanna Smith - Girls Are Crazy
7) Dakota Bradley - Something Like Something
8) Lee Brice - Parking Lot Party
9) Alexandra Lee - Dancin' Round The Fire
10) Willie Nelson - Georgia On My Mind

Some people may say that they're getting a little sick of all the comic book character movie sequels. I say, keep them coming. I just came across the trailer for the upcoming Thor: The Dark World. Looks pretty awesome.
