The Baltimore Ravens just lost a major player on their roster. Coach Harbaugh announced during his press conference that Poe, the team's mascot, has been placed on Injured Reserve and will be out for the remainder of the season.
Doing his best to keep his composure, Harbaugh revealed that Poe suffered a "serious injury to his drumstick" during his participation in the Mascot Classic. During the game, which took place during the final pre-season game, he had to be carted off the field after sustaining his injury.
"He will not be able to perform for the rest of the season," Harbaugh said. "We will find a replacement. We're going to go to work on that right away. We're going to turn over every stone, scour everywhere and find his replacement. We're going to get right into evaluating our options, see where we go next, and see if we can find somebody to replace Poe."
Could Poe's absence this season mark the return of his brothers, Edgar and Allen? Hopefully we'll find out during the team's home opener during week 2 against the Miami Dolphins on Sept. 18.
